Ascendance by Margaret M. Glinke
When the U.S. astronauts met the Russians for their first
trip to the space shuttle, Mir, I was intrigued with the bravery of these
scientists. Not only would they use every technique of collecting data,
but their survival skills and personal ability to bridge cultural and
language difficulties, gave us hope for a better understanding of people
everywhere.
I hope my painting gives you a feeling of excitement in the lift-off,
the work our astronauts did for science and how it can improve our lives.
This 60 x 60" acrylic on an impasto ground of gauze, sand and modeling
paste is on heavy stretcher bars and needs no framing. Price $1500.00 |
The quality of the Margaret Glinke's fine art is much
higher than we can show within limits of this web site. Slight tonal changes and blurring
around the areas of strong contrast are a result of the JPEG compression process, and are
not part of the high quality originals. |
